  • Thursday 2 March 2023 Strike Day Learning You will of course be aware that the largest teachers’ union, the NEU, have voted to strike over pay and conditions in England and Wales on several dates across February and March. Appointments for this evening will be carried out via video call. The evening offers you the chance to speak to your child’s teachers to discuss their progress and any questions you may have relating to their learning. We ask that students are involved in the discussions with you to enable us to work together to fully maximise their success in the future.
  • Monday 6 February 2023 Safer Internet Day 8th February 2023 is Safer Internet Day. We recognise the importance of helping educate our young people around how to be safe online and how to report concerns they may have. Students will be receiving assemblies this week on the importance of keeping themselves safe online. To support parents and guardians, here is a link to 'top tips' with regards to supporting your child with their online usage, which includes how to approach conversations with your child.   • Thursday 12 January 2023 Year 9 Guided Choices If your daughter/son is currently in year 9, they will be approaching one of the most important stages of their school career. She/he will be able to make choices about which subjects to study in Year 10 from September. The school is supporting students in various ways as they make their decisions, to help their choices to be informed ones. We would like all parents to play an active part in this process, and therefore invite you to attend two forthcoming events.
  • Thursday 12 January 2023 Reporting your child's absence At present, the vast majority of parents call in to school to let us know if their child is unwell. These communications are extremely important so that we know where your child is and how long she or he is likely to be absent from school. The school will contact you if we have not had any message from you by 10.00am.
