KS3 Curriculum

The curriculum at Key Stage Three starts with our values, aims and principles. In order to achieve these, we think carefully about what we wish our students to learn and in what order, ensuring this learning builds on what has gone before and prepares students for what is coming after. We specify in detail what knowledge, skills, vocabulary and understanding our students need to learn and lessons are then planned to ensure our students are given opportunities to do so.

Below you will find the detail for each subject, organised by year and by term. Any support you are able to offer at home, such as learning key vocabulary, looking at additional resources together or talking about your child’s school work with them would go a long way to helping embed the strong home-school partnership we strive to achieve.

It is important to mention that some books recommended in Year 9 are GCSE texts and may contain mature themes. If you have concerns, please contact dow-admin@cset.co.uk and ask for your email to be forwarded to the English Department.
