Faculties
The school is divided up into ten broad faculty areas. Each faculty is then sub-divided into the subject areas.
This structure allows related subjects to work closely with each other and share good practice. A good example of this would be the Science Faculty where the separate disciplines of Physics, Chemistry and Biology are combined. This allows staff to teach in their own specialism while contributing to the more general science or BTEC courses.
All faculties have a distinct character and strong leadership. This sense of identity is further enhanced by the fact that all teaching in a faculty is carried out in an allocated area of faculty base within the school.
